PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all Reserves for the sites of Townships or Suburban Lands, for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health or enjoyment shall be determined by the Superintendent who shall notify the same by Proclamation wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made.

And whereas it would be of public advantage if certain blocks of land in the vicinity of Public Works in progress were set apart for the location and use of Immigrants employed on such works:

Now therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby Proclaim and declare that a certain Block of Land containing about 1200 acres, situate near Greytown in the Wairarapa Valley, bounded on the Western side by the line of road through the Three Mile Bush. On the Northern side by a line at right angles to the above along the Southern boundary of section No. 142 and extending Eastward about eighty-one chains. On the Eastward by a line nearly parallel to the Three Mile Bush line of road, and about eighty-one chains distant therefrom; and on the Southward by a line Westward eighty-one chains from the last line to the Three Mile Bush line is hereby reserved and set apart by me for the purpose aforesaid.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this sixth day of July, one thousand, eight hundred and fifty-seven.
