to reserve from sale any of the Lots specified in the said Schedule, he will do so.

Those Allotments which have been surveyed in Square Miles will, in the first instance, be put up in that quantity. But if any such Square Mile should not then be sold on being so offered for sale, any party wishing to purchase not less than 80 acres of the same may, on specifying the portion of the section, the same being in a square Block, have such portion put up.

Any Allotment or portion of Allotment, such as last mentioned which may not be sold at the Auction, may be taken at any time thereafter at the price of Ten Shillings an acre, unless reserved by the Public Notice given by the Commissioner for a future Auction.

Plans of the Block as Surveyed may be seen at the Survey Office, Wanganni, near Mr. McDonald's, at Mr. Thomas Scott's Ferry, Rangitiki, and at the Land Office in Wellington.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this third day of July. One thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven.

Note.—Most of the Roads are available for the purpose but as in some places it will be requisite to deviate from these lines—where such deviation takes place the chain opposite the section through which the Road passes will be given to said Section in compensation.

NOTICE is hereby given that three Blocks of Land on the Opaki Plain in the Wairarapa District, containing 525 acres, 400 acres and 100 acres respectively, conditionally selected by William Bowler on the 8th April last, have this day been thrown up by him and are now open for selection at this office.
