Dissolution of Partnership.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnerships heretofore existing between BENJAMIN SMITH and HENRY WILLCOX, as Commission Agents in Wellington; and also between BENJAMIN SMITH, HENRY WILLCOX, and ELIZABETH WILLCOX, as Stockowners in Turakina, carried on in the name of "SMITH & WILLCOX," are this day dissolved by mutual consent.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Special Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for the City and District of Wellington will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Wellington, on Tuesday, the second day of December next, at 12 o'clock at noon, for the purpose of considering Applications for the transfer of Publicans' Licenses.

All applications must be sent to the Clerk to the Bench fourteen days before the 2nd December next.

NOTICE TO SHIP OWNERS, BOATMEN, &c.

Wellington, November 3, 1856.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until Tuesday the 18th inst., at noon, from persons willing to contract for the conveyance of Two thousand Tons of Stone from Somes' Island to where they may be required for building a Sea Wall between the wharves of Messrs. Bowler and Plimmer.

The Stone will be put on a jetty at Somes' Island along side of which there will be a depth of five feet at high-water.

The expense of loading and discharging will have to be included in the Tender.

Deliveries to commence on the 18th December next.

The weight of the Stones not to exceed what can be handled by two able bodied men.

Tenders will be received for the whole or any part of the above.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for general information, that a writ for the election of one Member to serve in the Provincial Council for the City of Wellington having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ, with a certificate that the undermentioned Gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the said Provincial Council for the said City of Wellington.
