SCHEDULE OF APPROVED APPLICATIONS FOR RUNS IN THE HAWKE\'S BAY DISTRICT

Names of Applicants. Descriptions of Boundaries of Runs. Estimated extent in Acres. Stock to be or already placed on the Run.
William Marshall North—The Waipawa or Loddon river; South-- the boundary of the Totara block purchase; West— part of western boundary of same below Taumatoa Puatea to the Loddon river.
This run to be extended to the big bush on the west and south, and across the Loddon to the same bush and to the Hinepakotia reserve on the north; and the reserve on the bank of the Loddon at Tikokino on the east (the whole about 4,500 acres).
1,500 acres. 200 sheep.
M. H. W. Dyson North—Mr. Gray\'s southern boundary from the Maunga Haruru to the south west corner of his run; East—eastern side of Mania Roa range; South—the southern part of Mania Roa range to Puketitiri forest; West—Puketitiri forest, and a line thence to south west corner of Mr. Gray\'s run, so as to include 10,000 acres. 10,000 acres; fern hills with grass. 80 or 90 head of cattle.
Thomas Guthrie North—a conical rock on the coast 4 or 5 miles north of Castle Point, Waimimi stream, a belt of bush and part of Tinui river (being Mr. Valentine Smith\'s southern boundary); West and South—the Whareama river from its confluence with the Tinui to its mouth on the sea coast; East—the sea from Whareama to the conical rock. 24,900 acres; fern and grass hills (exclusive of N. R. at Wakatahi, 7000 acres). 8,000 sheep, 800 head of cattle, 10 horses.
John Lavin East—the Ngahapi and Mr. Riddell\'s western boundary; South—Mr. Anderson\'s northern boundary; West—the Kiwi stream and a line from its mouth running south west till it strikes Mr. Anderson\'s northern boundary. The Kiwi to be the boundary as far as its course is continued south westerly. 10,500 acres; rough fern hills, a little grass. 80 head of cattle.
Robert Riddell North—Mohaka river; East—the sea; West—the Ngahapi stream, thence a line running south west till it strikes Mr. Anderson\'s northern boundary; South—the Pohanui river and Mr. Anderson\'s northern boundary. 9,000 acres; table land, fern, with some grassy flats. 500 sheep, 20 head of cattle.
Thomas Purvis Russell East and South—the Ngahapi, from Umapua to the south boundary of the original Hapuku block from whence to the Hatuma Lake, it forms a new boundary to the run formerly awarded to Messrs. Riddiford and Russell); West—the Mahurakeke; North—the southern boundary of original Hapuku block (acquired by exchange with Captain Newman). 5760 acres; fern hills with grass.
Alfred Newman West—the Ngahape river, from south boundary of Hapuku block, to the Hatuma Lake; North—the Hatuma Lake, Kiore Kau stream from last named Lake to Ngatore swamp; West—Puangeange stream from top swamp to the south boundary of the Hapuku block.
This run (acquired by exchange with the then Russell and Riddiford) to be extended as follows: West—the Ngahapi, from a scrubby bush in a gully near Umuapua, to the Hapuku block old boundary; South—the Parimui river from Umuapua to its junction with the Mangaongaonga; thence, the Mangaongaonga down to Te Motuoturaia; East—the Mangaongaonga stream; thence, east of Pokokura, and by the Puangeange to the Hapuku block boundary, forming part of Mr. H. R. Russell\'s south-west boundary.
10,400 acres.
