SCHEDULE OF APPROVED APPLICATIONS FOR RUNS IN THE HAWKE'S BAY DISTRICT.

Names of Applicants. Description of Boundaries of Runs. Estimated extent in Acres. Stock to be or already placed on the Run.
Robert Cockburn ...... South West—the Mangokopikopo or Serpentine river to a place called Okapu; North East—the Waiohinganga or Esk river, from its confluence with the Serpentine river to the point where the path to Taupo leaves it at Kaiwaka; West—a line from Okapu to last named point; the stream from Okapu running south west towards the Mangaone to form Mr. Villiers' north-west boundary. 5,840 acres; rugged fern hills. 140 sheep, 40 head of cattle, 5 horses.
George Marshall Gray North—footpath to Taupo from post near Waikinatetangata to the Mohaka river; East—a line from said post parallel to and one mile from the Pohui bush till it strikes the Mangaone river; South—the Mangaone, a stream to it from Pohui bush and the line from head of said stream due west to the Mangatahi river; West—the Mangatahi river to its junction with the Mohaka river. 16,640 acres; fern hills and good grassy hollows. 700 sheep, 30 head of cattle.
William Barnard and Joseph Rhodes ...... West—the Maraetotara river; East—the sea; North—the sea from Cape Kidnappers to mouth of Maraetotara river; South—maori path from Waipuki to Pakowai. 18,240 acres; hills & gully, intersected table flats, fern and grass. 3,124 sheep, 30 head of cattle.
Ashton St. Hill ...... East—the Maraetotara river; North West and North—the suburban south east boundary of the township of Clive; West—the Alma or Tukituki river; South—a line running due East from a point on the east bank of the Alma one mile above the point where the said suburban boundary strikes the said river. 5,120 acres; fern hills and grassy slopes. 500 sheep.
George Moore ......... West—the Alma or Tukituki river; North—Mr. St. Hill's south boundary; East—the Maraetotara river; South—a stream meeting the road from Waimarana, on the east bank of the Alma, thence a swamp under a craggy range running in same line as the stream, and on to the north of the Waimarana path to the Maraetotara river, said stream and swamp forming Mr. Chambers's northern boundary. 4,800 acres; fern hills and some grass. 300 sheep.
Walter S. Graham...... North—Waiwhera stream, Tarawhera bush; West—Mangaruhi river; South—southern boundary of Hapuku block; East—western boundary of Mr. Northwood's run. 14,000 acres; rug-ged fern hills. 300 sheep.
James Henton ......... Fork between the Mangatewai river on the South and East, and the Tukipo or Avoca river on the North; West—present boundary line (west) of Rua Taniwha south block. Run to include the block, when purchased, between the aforesaid rivers and the great western forest under the Ruahine mountains (about 5440 acres). 640 acres. 200 sheep, 4 cows.
John Tucker ........... North—Tukituki or Alma river to its junction with the Avoca (Tukipo) river; South the Avoca; West—present boundary of the Rua Taniwha; South block to be extended to the great western forest for west boundary (in all 9,200 acres). 6,720 acres; fine grass plains. 998 sheep, 2 horses.
