with reference to offences against the
Board and Roads contained in the Act of
the Provincial Council, Session I., No. 21,
comprising Clauses thereof, 88 to 102 inclusive, shall be in force in the Hutt
District, as such District is described in
the Plan thereof of the Surveyor-General
of the Colony with respect to all highways
within the same.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire, Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington, &c.,
&c., &c.,
WHEREAS, the whole of the Opaki
Plain, in the District of Wairarapa was originally set apart for the Small
Farm Settlement of Masterton, but arrangements have since been made for
reserving a portion of the Taratahi
block, in the same district, in lieu of part
of the said plain, and it is expedient, the
last named land should be opened for
sale.
Now I, the Superintendent
of the
Province of Wellington, do hereby proclaim and notify that all that portion of
the said Opaki Plain, situate without
the boundary of the Masterton Suburban Sections, will be open to sale under the
land regulations upon Tuesday, the
seventh day of August, 1855, at the
Crown Land Office, Wellington, where a
plan of the land may now be seen.

Islands of New Zealand.
I, ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, aforesaid, Do hereby proclaim and declare That the Township of
Wanganui, as originally laid out by the
New Zealand Company, shall be a District for the purpose of the Act of the
Second Session of the Legislative Council of the Province of Wellington, No. 6,
Intituled "An Act to promote the Establishment of Common Schools in the Province of Wellington," And I do also
Proclaim that the said Act shall come
into force within such District of the
Town of Wanganui, on the day of the
Issue of the Proclamation.
