the City of Wellington, aforesaid, in the said Provincial Council of the said Province, who has resigned his seat in the said Council, and whose resignation has been duly received by the said Superintendent.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, the said WILLIAM HICKSON, Esq., Acting Returning Officer for the City of Wellington, Do Hereby, in pursuance of the said recited Writ, GIVE NOTICE, That a Public Meeting of the Electors of the City of Wellington, will be holden at Noah’s Ark, situate on Lambton Quay, in the City of Wellington, aforesaid, on Monday, the 26th day of June next, at noon, for the purpose of nominating one person to serve as a Member for the City of Wellington, in the said Provincial Council of the said Province. And in the event of a Poll being demanded for the Candidates, or any of them, such Polling shall take place on Tuesday, the 27th day of June next, at Noah’s Ark aforesaid, the voting to commence at any time after nine o’clock of the said day, and to close at four o’clock in the afternoon of the said day.

HIS EXCELLENCY the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint His HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON, to be the person in that Province who is empowered under the provisions of the “New Zealand Company’s Land Claimants Ordinance, (Sess. XI. No. 15), to receive and refer claims to land arising out of contracts made with the New Zealand Company.

WE, the Undersigned, beg to give Notice, that we have this day dissolved Partnership.
