NOTICE
Appointing a Public Pound in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred on the north-east corner of Allotment No. 21 in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred.

In exercise of the power vested in me by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled "An Ordinance to Restrict the Trespass of Cattle," Session 18, No. 7, I, Frederic Alonzo Carrington, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby notify that I have appointed the following place to be a Public Pound for the purposes of the said Ordinance:—
The Pound in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred on the north-east corner of allotment No. 21, in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

DELEGATION UNDER "THE PRISONS ACT, 1873," TO SUPERINTENDENT OF TARANAKI.
James Fergusson, Governor.
Whereas by the fifty-first section of "Prisons Act, 1873," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, from time to time delegate to the Superintendent of any Province the powers by the forty-seventh and fiftieth sections of the said Act vested in the Governor, to be exercised within such Province and not elsewhere, and may from time to time in like manner rescind any such delegation: Now therefore, I, Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said in part recited Act, do hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, delegate unto Frederic Alonzo Carrington, Esq., as Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, all the powers vested in me by the forty-seventh and fiftieth sections of the said Act to be exercised within such Province and not elsewhere.
