NOTICE
Altering the dues payable at the Waitara Ferry.
Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, December 14, 1870.
WHEREAS by clause 3 of an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Taranaki, intituled "An Ordinance to establish and regulate Ferries," and passed in the second session of the said Council, power is given to the Superintendent from time to time by notice published in the Government Gazette of the Province, to fix, alter, or repeal the dues to be taken at any Ferry established under the above recited Ordinance; and whereas it is expedient to alter the dues payable at the Waitara Ferry.
Now therefore I, Frederic Alonzo Carrington, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby notify that on and after the 1st day of January 1871, the dues taken at the said Waitara Ferry shall be at the rates hereunder specified, viz.:
Each Passenger ... 3d.
Horses or neat Cattle (towed) ... 3d. each
Calves, carried ... 3d. „
Sheep, not exceeding 4 ... 2d. for the whole
Sheep, over 4 and not exceeding 100 ... ¼d. each
Sheep, above 100 ... ¼d. „
