ROADS AND BRIDGES.
Notice fixing the Minimum Rates and altering the month for General Meetings, and appointing General Meetings of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st Districts.

WHEREAS by the 49th clause of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the minimum Rate to be imposed in any District, and to alter the month in which General Meetings of the Electors for each District shall be held. Now, therefore, I, HENRY ROBERT RICHMOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, appoint that the minimum Rate to be imposed in all the Districts hitherto constituted under the above recited Ordinance shall be Threepence per acre. And I hereby further appoint that the month for the holding of General Meetings of all the said Districts shall be the month of August, and that such General Meetings shall be held in the month of August next ensuing, as follows:—
1st (or Bell) Road District—
At the Bell Block School-house, on Monday, the 17th day of August next, at 3 p.m.
2nd (or Henui) Road District—
At the Taranaki Institute, on Monday, the 17th day of August next, at 3 p.m.
3rd (or Lower Mangorei) Road District—
At the Taranaki Institute, on Saturday, the 22nd day of August next, at 3 p.m.
4th (or Carrington) Road District—
At the Taranaki Institute, on Saturday, the 22nd day of August next, at 3 p.m.
5th (or Frankley) Road District—
At the Taranaki Institute, on Wednesday, the 19th day of August next, at 3 p.m.
