That block of land bounded on the north
by the sea beach from the Kaitakara
River to the Timaru River, thence by the
Timaru River to Section No. 152, on
the plan of the Oakura Block, thence
by the eastern and southern boundary of
the said section and the southern boundary
of Sections Nos. 151, 150, 149, and 148 to
the Kaitakara River, thence by the said
river to the sea beach.

NOTICE
Appointing time for payment of second instalment of Road Rates for the 2nd Road District.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, May 11, 1867.

In exercise of the powers vested in me
by the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance,
1858,” I hereby appoint that the second
instalment of 9d. per acre of the rate for
the year 1866–7, imposed on all lands
within the 2nd Road District, shall be paid
at the Provincial Treasury, Mount Eliot,
on the 20th May, 1867.

QUARTERLY LICENSING MEETING.

NOTICE is hereby given that the
Quarterly Licensing Meeting of the
Justices of the Peace acting in and for the
District of Taranaki, will be holden at the
Resident Magistrate’s Court, in the Taranaki Institute, situate in Brougham street,
in the Town of New Plymouth, on Tuesday,
the 4th day of June next, at noon, for the
purpose of taking into consideration all
applications for Licences under the “Sale
of Liquors Ordinance, 1866,” and the
transfer, renewal, or removal of such
Licences.

NOTICE is hereby given that “The New Zealand Iron and Steel Company
(Limited),” the assignees of the above
named Charles Martin, of the said inventions, have made application that the
description and specifications of certain new
improvements of the said original inventions may be annexed to each of the
original descriptions and specifications of
the said inventions, and recorded; and
that the Colonial Secretary may certify
in the margin of such annexed descriptions
and specifications the time of the same
being annexed and recorded as aforesaid.
And any person or persons who may wish
to prefer any objection to the annexation
of the description and specifications of such
new improvements and recording thereof
as aforesaid, is or are hereby required to
send within four months from the publication hereof to Charles Knight, Esquire,
M.D., of Wellington, being the person appointed for that purpose under the provisions of the said Act, a statement in
writing setting forth the grounds of such
objection, subscribed with his or their
proper name or names and address.

At the Government House, at Wellington,
the twenty-seventh day of April, 1867.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
“The Diseased Cattle Act Amendment
Act, 1865,” (section 4) the Governor may,
by any Order in Council from time to
time, annul, make void, or alter, or vary,
and make anew any Orders in Council,
regulations, appointments, or prohibitory
or other declarations made and published
by the Governor under the authority of
“The Diseased Cattle Act, 1861,” or of
this Act or by the Superintendent of any
Province, under or in pursuance of any
power delegated to him under any of the
powers of delegation contained in the said
Act; and whereas by section five of the
said Amendment Act, “as to regulations,
appointments, and prohibitory and other
declarations made by Superintendents of
Provinces...
