ROADS AND BRIDGES.

NOTICE

Constituting No. 19 District under the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858."

Superintendent's Office,
New Plymouth, Feb. 5, 1867.

WHEREAS by the 2nd clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, amongst other things, to constitute Districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force. Provided that no such notice shall at any time be published without the previous approval of the Provincial Council.

Now therefore I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, in exercise of the before recited authority, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, constitute the undermentioned block of land, known as the Urenui District, to be District No. 19, under the provisions of the said recited Ordinance.

District No. 19.

The block of land bounded by the sea beach from the mouth of the Onaero River, to the mouth of the Urenui River; thence by the last named river to the southern boundary line of Rural Section No. 67; thence by a straight line to the north-east angle of Rural Section No. 74; thence by the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 74 and 76, and by the southern boundary of the last mentioned section; thence by a straight line to the north-east angle of Rural Section No. 17; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the last mentioned section; thence by a roadway to the Mangapou stream; thence by the said stream and the Onaero River to the sea beach.

Appointing a minimum Rate for No. 19 Road District.

Superintendent's Office,
New Plymouth, Feb. 5, 1867.

WHEREAS by the 13th clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," it is provided that the minimum rate to be imposed in any Rural District shall not be less than 6d. per acre. And whereas by the 49th clause of the said Ordinance, power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published...
