Dues chargeable at the Waiwakaiho Ferry between daylight and dark.

For each passenger........................ Os. 2d.
" every hundredweight of goods.... Os. 2d.
" any number of sheep not exceeding four........................ Os. 4d.
" do. exceeding four, per head..... Os. 1d.

After dark and until 10 p.m.
For each passenger........................ Os. 6d.

From 10 p.m. until daylight.
For each passenger........................ 1s. 0d.

Dues chargeable at the Waitara and Urenui Ferries.

Between daylight and 10 p.m.

For each passenger........................ Os. 6d.
" horses or neat cattle (towed), each........................ Os. 6d.
" Calves (carried), each................ Os. 6d.
" Sheep—
" not exceeding four, for the whole........................ Os. 4d.
" over four and not exceeding 100 each........................ Os. 1d.
" each sheep above 100................ ½d.

From 10 p.m. until daylight.

Exemptions from Ferry Dues.
No charges for the use of the Ferry-boat shall be made at any of the above named Ferries to

Mailmen,
Police on duty,
Military on duty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington,
the tenth day of January, 1867.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by "The Marine Act, 1866," it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council, from time to time delegate all or any of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act unto any person or persons, for any period, and subject to any regulations, restrictions, or stipulations which may be specified in such Order, and every such delegation may from time to time alter or revoke:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Bath, the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, do, by this Order, delegate unto

HENRY ROBERT RICHMOND, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, such of the powers vested in me as Governor by section seven of the said Act as enable me to erect, superintend, and maintain harbour-marks, lights, and beacons, now or hereafter to be placed within the limits of any port in the Province of Taranaki, or the approaches thereto, subject however to such directions as may from time to time be issued by the Colonial Marine Engineer, as to the size, position, and colour of such harbour-marks, lights, and beacons; and to appoint and suspend or remove Port or Harbour Masters, and other officers of ports or harbours within the Province of Taranaki; and to define and regulate the conduct and duties of Port or Harbour Masters, and other persons employed in carrying out the objects of "The Merchant Shipping Act, 1854," and of "The Marine Act, 1866," within the said Province; and also, within the said Province, the powers vested in me by clauses ten, eleven, fifteen, and thirty-seven of the said last-mentioned Act; and the power vested in me by clause sixteen of the said last-mentioned Act, to exempt from pilotage, within all or any of the ports of the Province of Taranaki, such colonial trading vessels trading to the ports of such Province only as to him shall seem proper to be so exempted; to have and exercise the said powers hereby delegated to the said Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, so long as he shall continue and remain Superintendent of the said Province, and no longer, subject nevertheless to such regulations as may from time to time be made by the Governor in Council under authority of clause fifty-one of the said last-mentioned Act.
