any part of the said beach; and the said
charge shall be paid quarterly, in advance,
and shall entitle the person or persons
paying the same to make use of any
number of lighters or boats duly licensed
as above provided.

Any person making use of a lighter
or boat for which a license has not been
issued or the license for which is suspended,
for the landing or shipping of cargo, pas-
sengers, or luggage, for hire, at or from
any part of the beach fronting the Town
of New Plymouth, shall be liable to a
penalty not exceeding Twenty Pounds. -
Nothing in these regulations con-
tained shall be deemed or construed in any
way to interfere with the operation of the
agreements now in force between the Pro-
vincial Government of Taranaki and the
Taranaki Lighter Company, or to apply to
the lighters, boats, or other property of the
said Company during the remainder of the
term of the said agreements. -

holding Land Orders of the New
Zealand Company are required to make
application for their Crown Grants, and to
deliver such Land Orders to the New
Zealand Company's Land Claims Commis-
sioner for the Province wherein the lands
claimed are situated, within three months
from this date.
