ROADS AND BRIDGES ORDINANCE, 1858.
NOTICE
Imposing Minimum Rates in, and Appointing Commissioners and Auditors for,
2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th Districts.

WHEREAS by Notices dated 9th November, 1865, and published in the Government Gazette of the Province of Taranaki, No. 30, 11th November, 1865, the month for convening General Meetings of the Electors of (amongst others) the Second, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth and Ninth Districts, constituted under “The Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” was altered from May to November, and General Meetings of the Electors of the said Districts were duly appointed to be held on certain days in the month of November, 1865, and the Minimum Rate for the said Sixth, Eighth, and Ninth Districts was altered from Six Pence to Three Pence per acre; and whereas no General Meetings of the Electors of the said Second, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Ninth Districts, or any of them, were held before the first day of January, 1866: Now therefore I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Ordinance, do hereby impose on all Lands within any of the said Districts, the Minimum Rate applicable to such District, being the rate placed opposite to the number of such District in the following Schedule; and I hereby appoint to be Commissioners for the said Districts respectively for the year 1865-6, the persons whose names appear in the following Schedule in the column headed Commissioners, and opposite to the numbers of the said Districts respectively, and I hereby appoint to be Auditors for the said Districts respectively, for the year 1865-6, the persons whose names appear in the following Schedule in the column headed Auditors, and opposite to the numbers of the said Districts respectively:—
