in the Colony of New Zealand, for the purpose of receiving articles the produce or manufacture of the said Colony, and of selecting and transmitting to London such articles as may be thought worthy of exhibition, and of communicating with Her Majesty\'s Commissioners in England respecting such transmission. And whereas it is expedient that the persons hereunder mentioned should be also appointed as Commissioners for the Province of Taranaki in addition to those already appointed by the said recited Commission. Now Know Ye, that I, Thomas Gore Browne, Governor of the said Colony, have thought fit to appoint, and by these Presents do constitute and appoint the persons hereunder mentioned in addition to those already appointed by the said Commission to be Commissioners in the Province of Taranaki, for the purposes above mentioned, viz :—
GEORGE RUTT BURTON,
GEORGE CURTIS,
RICHARD PHENEY.
And I do by these Presents give and grant to the above persons in conjunction with those already appointed as aforesaid, or any two or more of them, full power and authority to carry into effect the purposes of the said Commission, by all lawful means whatsoever.
Given under my hand and seal at the Government House at Auckland, this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and sixty one.
