NEW LINES OF ROAD.

NOTICE.โ€”Scrip, in satisfaction of the claims of persons entitled thereto, under the Schedule to "An Ordinance to provide for the construction of certain lines of road," is now ready for issue, at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

SLAUGHTERING OF CATTLE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the provisions of the Municipal Police Ordinance will be strictly enforced on and after the 1st of January, 1857, with a view to prevent the slaughtering of cattle in the immediate neighbourhood of the Town.

NOTICE.

Superintendent's Office,
November 11th, 1856.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Land Orders and Scrip Act, 1856," it is enacted that certain unexercised Original Land Orders issued by the Plymouth Company of New Zealand, or by the New Zealand Company, shall be entitled in priority to general purchasers to select out of any lands which shall be approved of by the Governor, such prior selections to be made on a place to be appointed for that purpose by the Superintendent of the Provinceโ€”Now, therefore, I, Charles Brown, Superintendent of the Province of New Plymouth, do hereby give notice and appoint that the unalienated portions of the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, having been approved of by His Excellency, will be open for selection at the Land Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday the 18th day of February, 1857, at ten o'clock in the forenoon.

NOTICE is hereby given that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Justices of the Peace will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court at New Plymouth on Tuesday the 2nd day of December, next, at 12 o'clock, noon, for the purpose of receiving applications for the transfer of Publican's Licenses.
