AN ORDINANCE
FOR TAKING AN ANNUAL CENSUS OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW PLYMOUTH.
Analysis.

Preamble.
- Census to be taken annually.
- Superintendent to appoint Collectors.
- Return papers to be left at every house and filled up.
- Return papers to be collected and necessary questions asked.
- Form of Return papers.
- Superintendent with consent of Provincial Council empowered to vary form of Return papers, but the same are always to contain all information required by this Ordinance.
- Penalty on refusal or neglect by Householders duly to fill up Return papers.
- Superintendent to forward information obtained to Governor.
- Census Ordinance (Legislative Council, Session XI, No: 8) not to be interfered with.
AN ORDINANCE for taking an Annual Census of the Province of New Plymouth.
Whereas it is expedient that provision be made for taking an annual Census of the Province of New Plymouth.
Be it therefore enacted by the Superintendent of the Province of New Plymouth with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof as follows:β
