of the power and authority vested in me
in this behalf, I did, by proclamation
published in the Southland Provincial
‘Government Gazette,’ appoint

Henry Armstrong, Esq.,
being an inhabitant of the said province,
registered as an elector on the electoral
roll of the New River District, within the
province of Southland aforesaid, to be
my Deputy, and as such to perform and
exercise all the acts, powers, and authori-
ties (except as in the seventh clause of
‘‘The Superintendent’s Deputy Act,
1866,’’ is excepted); and whereas the said
Henry Armstrong is now absent from
the colony without having formally
resigned the office of Deputy-Superinten-
dent as aforesaid, and whereas it is
expedient to remove Henry Armstrong
from the office of Deputy-Superintendent
of the province of Southland. Now,
therefore, in pursuance of the power in
me vested in that behalf, I do hereby
remove the said Henry Armstrong from
the office of Deputy-Superintendent of
the province of Southland.

one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-nine.

and Michael Kennedy, Defendant.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by
virtue of a writ of fieri facias
issued out of this honorable Court in this
cause on or about the twenty-first day of
May last past, in pursuance of the
‘‘Execution of Judgments against Real
Estate Act, 1867,’’ all that piece or parcel
of land situate in the Province of South-
land, New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement forty-four acres, two
roods, and three perches, more or less,
being section thirty-nine of block nine-
teen, on the Crown-grant Record Map of
the Invercargill Hundred, bounded on
the north by a Government Reserve, four
thousand four hundred and fifty-two
links, on the east by section forty-five of
aforesaid block, one thousand links, on the
south by section forty of aforesaid block,
four thousand four hundred and fifty-two
links, and on the west by a public road,
one thousand links, and referred to in
the memorial of judgment registered in
the office of the Registrar of Deeds,
Southland, and to which the abovenamed
defendant is entitled for an inheritance
in fee simple, free from incumbrances, has
been taken in execution at the suit of the
abovenamed plaintiff; and that the said
parcel of land will be sold by public auc-
tion by Mr James Surman, at his rooms,
Invercargill, on Wednesday, the seven-
teenth day of November next, at twelve
of the clock, noon, under the authority
of Henry M’Culloch, Esq., Sheriff of the
Province of Southland—unless the judg-
ment debt be sooner satisfied.

Dated this sixteenth day of August,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
ine.
