NOTICE.
INVERCARGILL JETTY.
In pursuance of the powers vested in me by the “Jetties and Wharves Ordinance, 1858,” I, John Parkin Taylor, Superintendent of the Province of Southland with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said province do hereby make the following regulations for the management of the Invercargill Jetty.
1st. Consignees or their agents on applying for goods at the Jetty shall produce the Bills of Lading for such goods, should however no Bills of Lading have been issued for the said goods, then the Mates’ Receipt shall be produced; but should it so happen that consignees are not in possession of either Bills of Lading or Mates’ Receipt then they shall particularise the several packages in writing addressed to the Wharfinger when requesting delivery.
2nd. The Master or Agent of any vessel arriving alongside the Jetty shall furnish the Wharfinger at once with a correct copy of his manifest, together with each consignees tonnage as taken on freight.
3rd. Wharfingers hours of attendance to be Custom House hours.
