IT is hereby notified that section No. 50, containing 14a. 3r. 12p., section No. 51, containing 14a. 1r. 89p., and section No. 52, containing 17 acres, in block No. XX, Invercargill Hundred, which were temporarily reserved from sale, will be open for free selection on and after the 18th day of March, 1868:

THE following notice relative to “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1867,” is published for general information.

Forms of application for registration under “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1867,” can be obtained by applying to the undersigned Assessor, or to the Registrar of the Medical Board in Wellington.

All persons desirous of having their names entered on the forthcoming Register, must make application prior to the ninth day of April, 1868.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, the eighth day of January, 1868.

Present:
THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Marine Act, 1867,” it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council, from time to time, delegate all or any of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, unto any person or persons, for any period, and subject to any regulations, restrictions, or stipulations which may be specified in such Order, and every such delegation may from time to time alter or revoke, and also that any such delegation may be so made to any person holding office in or under the General Government of New Zealand, or in or under any Provincial Government thereof, by the title of his office, and may be therein expressed to be made to such officer and his successors in such office, and when so expressed to be made, the powers and authorities thereby delegated shall from time to time, until revocation thereof, be held and exercised only by the person for the time being holding such office and no other person:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, do by this Order, delegate unto

THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHLAND, and his successors in such office, such of the powers vested in me as Governor by section seven of the said Act as enable me to erect, superintend, and maintain harbor marks, buoys, lights, and beacons, within the limits of any port or of the approaches thereto, in the Province of which for the time being he or any such successor shall be Superintendent, subject however to such directions as may from time to time be issued by the Colonial Marine Engineer, as to the size, position, and colour of such harbor marks, buoys, lights, and beacons; and do also delegate to the Superintendent of the Province of Southland, and his successors in such office, within the Province of which for the time being he is or any of his successors shall be Superintendent, the powers vested in me by sections twelve, thirteen, seventeen, and forty-two of the said Act, to have and exercise the said powers hereby delegated so long only as each such Superintendent.

N pursuance of the power in me vested by “The Public Revenues Act, 1867,” I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the undermenioned persons to be Paymasters for the districts and services hereinafter specified.
