✨ Education Ordinance
District School Committee to collect fees.
- The duties of the District Committees shall be to collect School fees and subscriptions for Educational purposes—to provide for the erection and keeping in repair of School buildings; and through their Chairman to correspond with the Educational Board, with regard to the establishment and maintenance of Schools in their respective districts.
Education Committee under "Ordinance 1862," to be considered "Education Board, 1867."
- For all purposes of this Ordinance the Education Committee appointed under the provisions of the “Education Ordinance 1862,” shall be considered to be the “Education Board” appointed under the direction of this Ordinance.
Interpretation Clause.
- The word Board shall mean the Education Board; the words School, Public School, shall mean any School erected under the provisions of this Ordinance, or any School Reserve, and receiving grants in aid from the Board.
