SUPREME COURT.

Notice is hereby given that a Sitting
of the Supreme Court, for the
despatch of Criminal and Civil Business,
will be helden at the Court House Invercargill, on Friday the twelfth day of
October next, at ten o'clock forenoon, at
which time and place all persons under
recognizance to appear as Prosecutors,
Defendants or Witnesses are required to
give their attendance.

It is hereby notified that the Rules and
Regulations for the Office of Regis-
trar of Brands published in the Southland
Provincial Government Gazette of June
4th 1866, are repealed and the following
Regulations substituted in lieu thereof.

RULES AND REGULATIONS for the office
of Registrar of Brands under the
provisions of the Cattle Branding
Ordinance.

The hours for the registration of brands
shall be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on week
days, and at such other hours as may be
convenient for the Registrar.

The following Fees shall be paid to the
Registrar:

Registering Brand, 10s.
For altering do., 5s.
Sale of neat cattle if under 50 in
number each 6d.
50 and under 100 each 3d.
100 and under 200 each 2d.
200 and upwards each 1d.
Sale of sheep if under 1000 each. 1d.
1000 and upwards ½d.

The Registrar shall once a quarter
publish the returns of Cattle Brands.

The above Regulations shall come into
force on and after the 1st day of October,
1866.
