PROCLAMATION,
By James A. R. Menzies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Southland.
WHEREAS by a proclamation issued under my hand, and dated the 31st day of March, 1863, the boundaries of the Wainiwa School District were set forth and declared; and whereas it is expedient to abolish the same, and appoint other boundaries for the said School District; Now, therefore, I, the said Superintendent, in pursuance of the power vested in me in that behalf, and in conformity with the provisions of Section 6, of the “Education Ordinance, No. 2, 1862,” do hereby abolish the boundaries of the said School District, Wainiwa, as the same were defined in the Schedule to the Proclamation aforesaid, and declare that the boundaries of the said District shall be the boundaries set forth in the Schedule hereunder written.

SCHEDULE.
Wainiwa School District.—
Bounded on the South by a line commencing at the junction of the Makarewa and Oreti Rivers, and running in a westerly direction until it meets the Waimatuku River; at its entrance into the ocean; on the West by the Waimatuku River; on the North by a line from the Waimatuku River, running due east to the north-west point of Block VII., New River Hundred, by a line from the same north-west point of Block VII. to the north-west corner of Section 18, Block XIII., New River Hundred, and by the north boundary of the said Block XIII. to the Oreti River; on the east by the Oreti River, to the starting point at its junction with the Makarewa River.

to be Resident Surgeon of the Hospital, Invercargill, and to act (temporarily), as Health Officer for the Province of Southland.

IT is hereby notified that I have granted exemption from Pilferage charges, at the Port of Invercargill, under the conditions of Clauses 16 and 17 of the Harbour Regulations proclaimed in the New Zealand Government Gazette of 7th February, 1861, to the schooner “Wild Wave,” so long as the said vessel continues under the command of Captain William Simpson.
