Governor’s Order, No. 39.
Appointing Legal Landing Place for Bluff Harbour.
By His Excellency Sir George Grey, Knight, Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c.
In exercise of the power in me for this purpose vested by the “Customs Regulation Act, 1858,” I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that, on and from one hundred yards of the Custom House, on either side, shall be deemed and taken to be the legal Landing Place for the lading and unlading of Goods at the Port of Bluff Harbour, under the “Customs Regulation Act, 1858.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
Bringing the “Crown Lands Act, 1862” into operation.

At the Government House, at Auckland, the 28th day of February, 1863.
Present:—
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
Whereas by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Crown Lands Act, 1862,” it is enacted that the said Act shall come into operation in each Province of New Zealand on and from a day to be fixed by the Governor in Council, to be notified in the Government Gazette of the Colony, and also of the Province to which such notification shall apply;
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order that the “Crown Lands Act, 1862” shall come into operation within each of the after-mentioned Provinces of New Zealand, namely, the Provinces of Auckland, Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland, on and from the sixth day of April next.
