We, the undersigned, Auditors of the Public Accounts of Southland, having this day examined the same, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Revenue for the Quarter ending 31st March 1862, was Thirty-three thousand two hundred and forty-three pounds, ten shillings, and eight pence; and the Expenditure for the same period was Twelve thousand eight hundred and twenty pounds, twelve shillings and six pence; and that there remained in the hands of the Provincial Treasurer the sum of Twenty thousand four hundred and twenty-two pounds, eighteen shillings, and two pence.
