NOTICE TO MAKE FENCE

To all Ratepayers and Owners of whom it may Concern of Section 44 (Part Reserve) which block is the Waipori Road District Fencing.

TAKE Notice that I require that the boundary or separation fence between Sections 43 and 44 in the said District be immediately made or repaired on the 8th day of October, 1876.

Notice is hereby given that unless such fence is made or repaired on or before the 18th day of November, 1876, I will proceed to make or repair the said fence and recover the costs thereof from such defaulter.

Impounded on the 8th day of October, 1876, by Michael Tynan, Poundkeeper of the Otago Pound, Halfway Bush.

  • One red cow, white face, branded HF off ribs, one horn up, white belly.
  • Superfine unknown, branded on off ribs shoulder, one black cow, red ears, white face.

For which the sum of 10s per head per day will be claimed as sustenance. The above animals will be sold at the Public Pound at Halfway Bush on Friday, the 17th day of November, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.

Impounded on the 17th day of October, 1876, at Waikouaiti Pound.

  • One red and white heifer, about 2 years old, no brand visible, one white heifer, no brand visible, broken horn.

For which 2s 6d per head per day is claimed for sustenance. The above will be sold at the Waikouaiti Pound on Friday, 17th November, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

  • One Bay Draught Gelding, branded M shoulder on near shoulder, X on off shoulder, with white face, one Brown Mare, no visible brand, broken knee.

Each is charged 2s 6d per day for trespass. And in default of being released, the above horses will be sold at the Waikaremoana Pound on Friday, 27th instant at 12 o’clock noon.

Is claimed for trespass. In default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at Lawrence on Wednesday, 29th November, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

  • One brindle or roan Cow, white switch, no visible brands, trespassing on Hugh McDonald’s property.

For which 5s damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the cow will be sold at the Public Pound at Port Chalmers on Friday, the 20th day of October, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

PUBLIC MEETING to consider the best means of raising funds for the erection of a school building.

A meeting of the ratepayers will be held in the schoolroom at Sawyers’ Bay on Tuesday the 24th day of October, 1876, at 7:30 o’clock p.m.
