To the District Land Officer at Clyde.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-race for irrigation, domestic and agricultural purposes, commencing at a point in Butcher's Gully, at the Gorge, about a quarter of a mile above Michael Kett's old Race, and terminating at my farm, Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block I., Cairn Hill District.
The length of such Race is two and a-half miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is N.E. and S.W.
The mean depth and breadth of such Race is 2 feet by 1 foot, and is capable of carrying one sluice-head of water.

Any person objecting to the issue of a License to the above-named applicant must lodge his objection at my office within fourteen clear days from the date hereof.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 13th October, for the Erection, in wood, of a School at Rothsay, Ravensbourne.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Inspector of Buildings, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Rothsay and Ravensbourne School."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
