I, JAMES MACANDREW, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, and by and with the consent and advice of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago, proclaim and declare that the “Common Lodging-house Ordinance, 1862,” and the “Common Lodging-house Ordinance, 1862, Amendment Ordinance, 1864,” are hereby extended to the Town of Oamaru, in the said Province of Otago.

Of appointment of Trustees of the Sinking Fund of the Municipality of Oamaru.
NOTICE is hereby given that under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by section 105 of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865,” and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, have appointed
MR. HENRY AITKEN,
To be a Trustee of the Sinking Fund of the Municipality of Oamaru, and to carry out the purposes of the said section of the said Ordinance, vice Mr. John McLean, resigned.

MR. ROBERT SHORT, Land Office, Dunedin has been appointed to supply information as to settlement on the land, whether by immediate purchase, deferred payments, or under agricultural leases. Mr Short will show maps of the land and assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary applications.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste Lands Board has annulled the licenses, and declared unoccupied, Sections 14 and 15, Block V., Sections 21 and 24, Block VIII., Section 27, Block IX., Toetoes District; Section 3, Block I., Waikaka District; Section 50, Block II., Tuapeka West District; Section 15, Block VIII., Crookston District; Section 6, Block II, Slopedown District, the conditions required in terms of Sections 52B and 56B of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872” not being fulfilled, and has ordered that such sections should be again advertised open for application.
