LAND HELD UNDER DEFERRED PAYMENT.

RE-OPENED FOR APPLICATION ON WEDNESDAY, 11TH OCTOBER, 1876.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste Lands Board has declared unoccupied Section 3, Block IV., and Sections 16 and 23, Block V., Waikaka District, and have also ordered that such sections should be again advertised open for application on Wednesday, the 11th October next.

Application must be made by the applicant in person at any Land Office in the Province, and a deposit of 1s. 6d. per acre paid at the time of making the application, being the first half-year’s occupation fee. The purchase-money is payable at the rate of 3s. per acre per annum for ten years.

Plans to be seen and Lithographs obtained at the Land Office, Dunedin.

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 50 OTAGO WASTE LANDS ACT.

NOTICE.

AS ignorance prevails respecting the purchase of Crown Lands at public sales by auction, attention is drawn to the Act entitled “The Crown Lands Sales Extortion Prevention Act,” especially clauses 3 and 8 of said Act, which are as follows :-

III. Every person who shall actually receive money or other valuable consideration for abstaining to bid for or compete for the purchase of any Crown Lands which shall have been advertised for sale by public auction, and whether or not the same land shall be put up for sale by public auction shall be deemed to have been guilty of a misdemeanour and shall on conviction thereof be liable to be imprisoned with or without hard labour for any period not exceeding two years or fined any sum not exceeding five hundred pounds.

VIII. Any Commissioner of Crown Lands or other person connected with the administration of any of the Waste Lands of the Colony who shall cause or attempt to cause or knowingly permit any person to apply for the purchase of any portion of the Waste Lands of the Crown such applicant not being a bona fide intending purchaser or who shall knowingly countenance or permit any collusion or arrangement between intending purchasers of land having for its object to preclude or supersede the necessity of bona fide competition at any such auction sale as aforesaid shall on conviction thereof be liable to a penalty not exceeding fifty pounds and shall for ever thereafter be rendered incapable of holding any office or employment under the Crown.

Section 17, Block I, Glenkenich District, 200 acres:—Alexander McLennan, Albert Stenning, George Park, Wm. Nicolson, Wm. Ranger, John Wablewski, Wm. Sleigh.

Objections must be lodged in writing before noon on Monday, the 4th September, at the Land Office, Invercargill.

The above sections will be sold by auction between the respective applicants at the Survey Office, Lawrence, on Tuesday, the 5th September, 1876, at one o’clock a.m., the day and place upon which the land of special value in Block I, Glenkenich District, will be sold.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Agricultural Leases issued in favour of H. K. Hodge, for Sections 58, Block XX., and Section 26, Block XXI., Shotover District, have been cancelled by the Government, and the land is now open for occupation under the Agricultural Lease Regulations.
