LAND ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following application for license to occupy land on Deferred Payments has been received at this office:—
John Stevenson, for Section 4, of Block XIV., Crookston District.
And Tuesday, the 12th day of September, 1876, at 11 o’clock a.m., and the Land Office, Lawrence, are appointed the time and place for deciding this application, if unopposed, and for notifying any objections that may be lodged.

LAND HELD UNDER DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
LICENSES ANNULLED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste Lands Board has annulled the licenses, and declared unoccupied, Sections 12, Block X, Section 16, Block VI., Waikaka District; and Sections 9 and 11, Block X., and Section 7, Block XV., Waipahee District, the conditions required in terms of Sections 52B and 56B of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872” not being fulfilled, and have ordered that such sections should again be advertised open for application. (See advertisement below.)
DEFERRED PAYMENT SECTIONS.
RE-OPENED FOR APPLICATION ON WEDNESDAY, 13TH SEPTEMBER, 1876.
NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned Sections will be open for application on deferred payments on Wednesday, 13th September, 1876. Application must be made by the applicant in person, at any Land Office in the Province, and a deposit of 1s. 6d. per acre paid at the time of making the application, being the first half-year’s occupation fee. The purchase money is payable at the rate of 3s. per acre per annum for ten years.
Plans to be seen, and lithographs obtained, at the Land Office, Dunedin.

NOTICE is hereby given that 1200 acres of Unsurveyed Land, situated on Runs 12A and 12B will be open for application at 2½d. per acre, and subject to such increase (if any) as may be decided upon by Parliament now assembled, not exceeding a total of 40s. per acre, on Friday, the 15th September, 1876. Survey fees to be paid by purchasers. Applications received at the Land Office, Dunedin.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS FOR UNSURVEYED LAND
Under “Otago Waste Land Act, 1872.”
IT is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the Sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase-money of these Sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in or before Wednesday, the 13th day of September, 1876, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

SALE OF RUN No. 465.
5,000 ACRES ON THE MATUKITUKI RIVER.
ON WEDNESDAY, 27TH SEPTEMBER, 1876.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease for Ten Years of Run No. 465, bounded towards the North by Bush and Crown Lands, towards the South by Run No. 458, towards the East by Corner Burn, and towards the West by Bush and Crown Lands, being about 5000 acres (more or less) on the Matukituki River, north-west of Run No. 333, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Survey Office, Queenstown, on Wednesday, the 27th day of September next, at noon, in terms of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” at the upset price or annual rent of 1d. per acre. The bidder of the highest annual rental, in addition to the assessment payable under the 138th clause of the said Act, shall be the purchaser.
Assessment of three shillings and sixpence for every head of great cattle, or sevenpence for every head of small cattle, depastured on the Run, will be charged, but the minimum stock on which assessment will be charged shall not be less than 250 sheep.
Lease to commence from the 10th day of April, 1876, and expires on the 9th day of April, 1886, or to determine on twelve months’ notice from the Commissioner of Crown Lands to the Lessee to that effect, without liability on the part of Government or Waste Lands Board for compensation for improvement.
The right to take a road five chains broad, for stock travelling, is retained by Government. No previous Lessee on purchasing the Lease to be entitled to exercise a pre-emptive right to purchase land on Run.
Improvements enhancing the value of the Run made by Lessee to be paid by the incoming tenant before obtaining possession. A deposit of one-tenth of the purchase money shall be paid on fall of the hammer, and the balance within a month. The annual assessment will be payable on the first day of October of each year, excepting the first period from the 10th day of April to the 1st day of October, 1876, when the proportion, namely £3 10s., will be payable at auction.
