Martin, by public auction, at the Survey Office, Naseby, on Monday, 29th August, 1876, at noon, as land of special value, under Clause 85, “Otago Waste Land Act, 1872,” at the upset price opposite each section.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following applications for licenses to occupy land on deferred payments have been received at this Office:—

And Tuesday, the 18th July, 1876, at 11 a.m., and the Land Office, Lawrence, are appointed the time and place for deciding the applications which may be unopposed, and for notifying any objections which may be lodged.

Two o’clock p.m. of the same day, and the same place, are appointed for deciding by auction the right to the license to occupy any section for which there is more than one applicant.

BLUFF WHARF EXTENSION.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 11th July, 1876, for Contract, No 126: Addition of 390 feet to west end of Bluff wharf.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the District Engineer’s Office, Invercargill.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Tender for Contract, No. 1126.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.


NORTH TAIERI ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS WANTED for the Erection of a Timber Bridge, Wingatui Subdivision.

Specifications to be seen with the Clerk, with whom tenders are to be lodged on or before Monday, the 10th instant.

NORTH-EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.

RATEPAYERS are hereby notified that on Saturday, the 1st July, 1876, a general rate of one shilling in the £ was made for the year ending June, 1877, and that the same is payable on the 1st August, 1876. Any person objecting to the assessment must do so in terms of clause 6, part 3, Highway Boards Empowering Act, the Board having no authority for hearing objections.
