WEDNESDAY, 30TH AUGUST, 1876.

NOTICE is hereby given that section 5, block III., Beaumont District, containing 9 acres, 3 roods, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Survey Office, Lawrence, on Wednesday, 30th August, 1876, at noon, at the upset price of £1 1s per acre, with 2s 6d valuation added. Also sections 1, 2, 112, and 113, block I, Waitahuna West District, at the upset price of 3s per acre.

Two o’clock p.m. of the same day, and the same place, are appointed for deciding by auction the right to the license to occupy any section for which there is more than one applicant.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mining Lease for section 69, block XI., Skippers, issued in favour of John Aspinwall, has been surrendered with the consent of the Government, and the land is now open for occupation by holders of Miners’ Rights, &c.

TO THE DISTRICT LAND OFFICER AT NASEBY.

I hereby give notice that I intend to construct a Water Race for domestic and irrigation purposes, commencing at a point in the Extended Water Company’s Race, Naseby, and terminating on my freehold on the east side of the Dunstan and Dunedin road.

The length of such road is 500 yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is about east and west.

The mean depth and breadth of such is 9 inches by 9 inches, and it is intended at times to divert for irrigation purposes one-tenth.

MOUNT IDA WATER WORKS.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, July 4, for Contract No. 17: Construction of about one mile and forty-seven chains of Flushing Race.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Naseby.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Tender for Contract No. 17.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NORTH EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.

TENDERS are invited to Form, more or less, 14 chains of Road on Mr. David Crawford’s section, North Road, and Culverts.

Plan and specification at Mr. Thomas Brown’s, North East Valley.

Also to form 4 chains, more or less, on road line bounded by sections 59 and 60, block II., Pine Hill. Plan and specification at Cattle Market Hotel, North East Valley.

Tenders left at Valley School-house on or before Saturday, the 1st July, at 2 p.m., having enclosed five per cent on amount of tender.

The lowest or any not necessarily accepted.
