In the matter of the "Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and of an order made by the Makarewa Road Board, for opening up a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order made by the Makarewa Road Board on the 13th day of May, 1876, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 1022, on the 17th day of May, 1876, for opening a new road through Section 39, Block IX., Invercargill Hundred, has this day been confirmed by me.

PROCLAMATION
By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by Section 10 of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874," it is provided that if from any cause whatever the persons entitled to vote at any election for any road district, or for any subdivision of any road district, shall fail or neglect to hold an election of members of the District Board for such district on the day appointed by the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," for that purpose, it shall be lawful for the Superintendent by proclamation in the Gazette to appoint a day for the holding of such election:
Now therefore I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said section, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, proclaim and appoint Friday, the seventh day of July next, to be the day for the holding of the election of members of the Oreti Road Board, for the Waiau subdivision.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1876.

PROCLAMATION
By His Honor the Superintendent of Otago.
WHEREAS the persons entitled to vote at the election of members for the Suburban Road District have failed to hold an election of Members of the District Board of the said District for the Green Island subdivision:
Now therefore I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinances, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint Thursday, the sixth day of July, 1876, at noon, to be the day for the holding of an election for the Green Island subdivision of the Suburban Road District.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-seventh day of June, 1876.

Wellington, 14th June, 1876.
It is hereby notified that a Proclamation under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Otago, bearing date the 26th day of May, 1876, setting apart a block of land in the “Otakaramu” Hundred, as specified in the Schedule hereto, for occupation on the deferred payment system, has been approved by the Governor in Council, as provided by the 27th section of “The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875.”
