[Republished from Gazette of 24th May last in consequence of Monday being printed instead of Tuesday, in the following notice in that Gazette:]

PROCLAMATION

Setting apart 2,200 Acres of Land in the Chatton Hundred for occupation on deferred payments.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to set apart in any part of the Province districts or blocks of land within which licences to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted either exclusively or within which the land shall be open for licence or lease on deferred payment, or for sale on immediate payment:

And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago has recommended the Superintendent to set apart the lands hereinafter specified for alienation on deferred payments:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council as aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," and of every or any power in this behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart all those sections numbered respectively 2, 4, 7, 10, and 13, block V., and 2, 4, 13, 14, 16, and 18, block VI., Chatton Survey District, will be open on Tuesday, the 27th day of June, 1876, for application for licence and lease on deferred payment, as provided in "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872."

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this twenty-third day of May, 1876.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by Section 10 of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874," it is provided that if for any cause whatever the persons entitled to vote at any election for any district or for any sub-division of any district shall fail or neglect to hold an election of members of the District Board of such district on the day appointed by the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, by proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a day for the holding of such election.

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said section, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint Thursday, the twenty-second day of June, and Mrs. Rae's Hotel, as the time and place for the holding of the election of members of the Crighton Road Board, for the Stoney Creek sub-division.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this thirteenth day of June, 1876.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance (No 2) 1865," and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all those roads and all those portions of roads, in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said "Roads Diversion Ordinance (No 2) 1865," and particularly described in the schedule hereto, shall from and after the day of date hereof, cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the public roads in the several road districts in the Province of Otago mentioned in the schedule to the said Ordinance.

MILTON ROAD DISTRICT, (Now Tokomairiro.)

SCHEDULE

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 10 poles more or less being a road line situate in Block I, Akatore Survey District commencing at a new road line on Section numbered 2 of 27 distant four hundred and four (404) links from Section No 7 on River Bank Road bounded toward the north east by new road line five hundred and forty (540) links and part of Section numbered 2 of 27 six hundred and twenty (620) links and part of Application No. 21, three hundred and eighty (380) links and five hundred and eighty (580) links and part of Section numbered 26 two thousand one hundred (2,100) links eight hundred (800) links and nine hundred (900) links toward the east by a road line two hundred (200) links towards the south west by Section numbered 25 seventy (70) links nine hundred and eighty (980) links seven hundred and twenty (720) links and one thousand nine hundred and seventy (1,970) links and other part of Application No 21, seven hundred (700) links and seven hundred and eighty (780) links and by other part of Section numbered 2 of 27 one thousand and forty-two (1,042) links to starting point be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less and intersected by the road to the river sixty (60) links wide.

PROCLAMATION

Protection of Animals Act, 1873.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the "Protection of Animals Act, 1873," it is provided that no game shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed in any Province, until the same shall have been proclaimed as open for that purpose by proclamation in that behalf, to be made and published in the Gazette, and so game shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed except within a consecutive period not exceeding three months of any year, to be fixed by the Superintendent by proclamation as aforesaid between the 1st day of May and the 31st day of January then next following the hours of sunrise and sunset only between.
