ENGROSSING, &c.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 5th May, 1876, for Engrossing Crown Grants during the year 1876, at per folio, and placing marginal plans on same, at per plan.

Every information will be given on application at the Crown Grant Office, Dunedin.

INCENDIARISM.

MALICIOUSLY SETTING FIRE TO THREE STACKS OF OATS.

WHEREAS about 3.15 o’clock on the morning of the 17th instant Three Stacks of Oats, situate at North East Harbour, Peninsula District, the property of James and William Christie, value £300, were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed: And whereas it is believed that the said fire was wilfully caused: Notice is hereby given that a reward of £5o will be paid to any person who shall first give such information to the Police as will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused: And in addition thereto His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who shall give such information as will lead to a like result.

WHEREAS about 9.3o o’clock on the morning of the 9th instant Two Stacks of Oats, situate at Shag Valley, near Palmerston, the property of John Jordan, were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed: And whereas at an inquest held at Jordon’s Junction Hotel, Shag Valley, on the 19th instant, by J. W. Murdochn, Esquire, R.M. and Coroner, to inquire as to the origin of the said fire, the Jury returned the following verdict: “That the stacks were wilfully set on fire by some person or persons to the Jurors unknown.” Notice is hereby given that a reward of £5o will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who will first give such information to the Police as will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused, and in addition thereto His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who shall give such information as will lead to a like result.

NOTICE TO MAKE FENCE.

To Mr. Matheson, or whom it may concern, of Section 7, Block XI., Waikaka District.

TAKE NOTICE that I desire that the boundary or separation fence between Section 7, Block XI., Waikaka District, and Section 1, Block XIV., Waipahee District, be made immediately on or before the 18th of May, 1876, and that such fence shall be stakes 4 by 3, and 4 feet high, 12 feet apart, 4 wires, double bank ditches, 20 inches wide, and 18 inches deep.

NOTICE TO MAKE FENCE.

To the Owner or Owners of Section 24, Block VI., Musselburgh Township.

TAKE NOTICE that I desire that the Boundary or Separating Fences between Sections 23, 24, and 25, Block VI., Musselburgh Township, be made immediately, and that such fence shall be a post and two rails, and split.

TAKE NOTICE that I desire that the Boundary or Separating Fence between Sections 4 and 5, Block III., Kaitangata Township, be made immediately, and that such fence shall be a post and wire fence of six wires and top rail.

Owner unknown, for trespassing in his paddock, for which 5s. damages are claimed. In default of being released the above horse will be sold at the public Pound, Balclutha, on Friday, 26th day of May, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

A red Bullock, branded like JR conjoined on near rump; two slits near ear: trespassing in paddock, for which 13s. damages is claimed, and in default of being released the said bullock will be sold on Friday, the 26th May, 1876, at the West Hawksbury Pound.
