NoteβThe barometric readings are corrected for index error, capillary action, and reduced to 32 deg. Fah. and sea level.
The Thermometers are corrected for index error, ascertained by comparison with a standard from Kew.
The temperature of the dew point, the elastic force of vapor, and degrees of humidity are computed from the simultaneous observations of the wet and dry bulb thermometers.
In reading the preceding table it should be borne in mind that all self-registering instruments are recorded at the morning observation, and therefore the results noted occurred during the preceding 24 hours.
