February 16, for Contract No. 1098, earthworks and bridges on road to Waikouaiti Harbor.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Waikouaiti, on and after the 26th instant.

Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1098."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

IMPOUNDED on the 19th day of January, 1876, by Mr. Hugh McIntyre, Merino Downs Station, Dark Bay Horse, branded like crK near shoulder.

Owner unknown; for trespassing on Merino Downs, for which the sum of 2s. 6d. driving expenses is claimed, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Taieri, on Friday, the 18th day of February, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.

1 chestnut Pony, no visible brand, star on forehead.
1 bay Mare, no visible brand, two hind legs white.

Owner unknown; for trespassing on a farm at Maungatua, West Taieri, for which three shillings and fourpence per head, and driving expenses six shillings and eightpence are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 18th day of February, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.

1 Dark Brown Mare, branded like =H near shoulder.

Owner unknown; for trespassing on a farm at Maungatua, West Taieri, for which three shillings and fourpence damages, and six shillings and eightpence driving expenses, are claimed, and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 18th day of February, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.


IMPOUNDED on the 24th day of January, 1876, by Mr. James Blackley,
1 black Horse, branded on off side of neck B, white strip down face.
1 bay Horse, branded like D~ near shoulder, high up.
2 bay Mare, branded WC near shoulder, c off shoulder, collar-marked, hind fetlocks white.
1 bay Colt (draught), branded T near shoulder, near hind fetlock white.

Owner unknown; for trespassing on grass paddocks, 5s. per head of expenses claimed, and in default of being released, the above horses will be sold on Monday, the 14th day of February, 1876, at Edendale Pound, Edendale.
