FOURTH SCHEDULE.

NORTH WARD.

Comprises all that portion of the said Township situate on the north side of Meldrum street.

SOUTH WARD.

Comprises all the remaining portion of the said Township.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twentieth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

Municipality of the Town of Invercargill.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by section 2 of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinances Amendment Ordinances, 1866," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, from time to time to increase or diminish the number of Wards, and to name or alter the name of any or every Ward of any municipality at any time proclaimed under the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865:" And whereas, the municipality of Invercargill was proclaimed under the said Ordinance: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinance and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and with the advice and consent of my Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said municipality is hereby divided into four wards, namely: North Ward, Second Ward, Third Ward, and South Ward, and the respective boundaries of the said Wards shall be those described in the schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

North Ward.

All that portion of the town of Invercargill, bounded as follows, that is to say:—On the north, by the northern boundary of the said town of Invercargill; on the east by the eastern boundary of the said town; on the south by a line running through the centre of Spey street, and continued to the Invercargill Harbor; and on the west by the western boundary of the said town of Invercargill.

Second Ward.

All that portion of the said town of Invercargill, bounded as follows, that is to say:—On the north by the line forming the southern boundary of North Ward; on the east by the eastern boundary of the line of the said town; on the south by a line running through the centre of Tay street; on the south-west by a line running through the centre of the Crescent to the south side of Esk street; and on the south by a line running due west from the termination of the last-mentioned boundary line to the Invercargill Harbour; and on the west by the western boundary of the said town.

Third Ward.

All that portion of the said town of Invercargill bounded as follows, that is to say:—On the north and north-east by the lines forming the southern and south-western boundaries of Second Ward; on the east by the eastern boundary line of the said town; on the south by a line running through the centre of Teviot street to Clyde street; on the west by Clyde street; again on the south by Clyde street, and by sections seventeen and six, of block eighteen, by sections seventeen and six, of block seventeen, and by sections seventeen and six, of block eight, to the western boundary of the said town; and again on the west by the western boundary line of the said town.

South Ward.

All that portion of the said town of Invercargill, bounded as follows, that is to say:—On the north, and partly on the east, by the lines forming the southern boundaries, and part of the western boundary of Third Ward; on the east by the eastern boundary line of the said town; on the south by the southern boundary line of the said town; and on the west and south-west by the western boundary line of the said town.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by Section 390 of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1867" it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province by proclamation in the Government "Gazette" of such Province to declare that any complete parts of the several parts of the said Act numbered from two to twenty-two inclusive as he shall consider applicable shall extend and be applied to any city town or place in such Province incorporated at the time of the passing of the said Act under any Act or Ordinance of the Legislature of such Province and in such proclamation to fix a time at which such parts or any of them shall extend to any such city town or place; and whereas by section 4 of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1868" it is provided that it shall be lawful for the said Superintendent to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said 390th section from time to time and as often as may be necessary, and whereas the Municipality of Queenstown was incorporated at the time of the passing of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1867:" Now therefore I James Macandrew Superintendent of the Province of Otago do hereby under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Acts, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that from the date hereof part numbered XVI of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1867" shall extend and be applied to the Municipality of Queenstown.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this fourteenth day of December, 1875.

NOTICE.—Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written, and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875, SESSION XXXIV., copies of which have been deposited at the Public School mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads, or portions of roads, intended to be stopped up in each district: Now, therefore, I, JAMES MACANDREW, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875," session No. XXXIV., do hereby
