thousand four hundred (2400) acres, more or less,
situate on Run 204, being sections numbered 1 to 10,
block XIII, Maniototo District; and sections num-
bered 1, 2, 3, and 4, block I, Upper Taieri District,
bounded as follows:โCommencing at Trig. Sta-
tion N, Maniototo District, thence in a line due west
eight thousand two hundred and fifty-six and eight-
tenths (8256 8-10ths) links: thence due south along
the eastern boundaries of sections numbered 1, 3, 4,
5, 6, and part of 7, said block XIII, Maniototo Dis-
trict, and sections numbered 1, 2, and 4, said block I,
Upper Taieri District, twenty thousand six hundred
and sixteen (20,616) links; thence due west along
the south boundary of section 1, said block I, Upper
Taieri District, nine thousand eight hundred and
forty-seven (9847) links, to the Sowburn; thence by
the Sowburn sixteen thousand one hundred and forty
(16140) links; and a line north-easterly bearing
244deg. 55min. three nine thousand hundred and ten
(3910) links, to the south-west corner of Tailings
Reserve; thence by a line due east one thousand
and thirteen (1013) links; thence by a line due
north along the eastern boundary of Tailings Reserve
eleven thousand four hundred and five and five-
tenths (11,405 5-10ths) links, to the Taieri River;
thence by the Taieri River thirty-two thousand nine
hundred and fifty (32,950) links, to a point due
north of Trig Station N, Maniototo District; thence
due south to said Trig. Station N four thousand eight
hundred and eighty (4880) links, the starting point;
and the said land shall be open for application on
the 20th day of December, 1875.

the Executive Council of the said Pro-
vince, being also members of the Provincial
Council thereof, this 16th day of No-

PROCLAMATION
By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of
the Province of Otago.
I, JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue
and in exercise of the power vested in the Superin-
tendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf,
by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," and of
the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the
Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that
all those roads and all those portions of roads in the
Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the
said "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," and par-
ticularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall,
from and after the day of the date hereof, cease to
be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer
form part of the public roads in the several Road
Districts in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the
Schedule to the said Ordinance.
SCHEDULE.
Finegand Road District (now Clutha).
4. Forty-nine (49) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide,
from District Road between blocks twenty-one (XXI)
and twenty-two (XXII), Clutha District, to new District
Road on section 7, block XXII. Boundaries : north-west
by sections numbered 1, 3, and 5, and part of 7, and on
the south-east by section 16 and part of 13, block XXII,
Clutha District.
- Eighteen (18) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide,
from new District Road on section 7, block XXII, to
road line on bank of the Clutha River. Boundaries:
north-west by parts of sections numbered 7 and 9, and
on the south-east by part of sections 13 and 9, block
XXII, Clutha District.
Dated at Dunedin this twentieth day of November,
1875.

PROCLAMATION
Extending time within which certain Lands in cer-
tain Hundreds in the Province of Otago shall
be open for sale.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superin-
tendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Lands hereinafter mentioned and
described, being the lands within the Hun-
dreds hereinafter named, have, by proclamation by
His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, first
published on the 14th day of October, 1875, in the
New Zealand Gazette, been proclaimed as Hundreds:
And whereas by operation of law the lands within
the said Hundreds are not open for sale or lease
until thirty days from and after the first publication
of the proclamation constituting the Hundreds: And
whereas, by the 2nd section of "The Otago Waste
Lands Administration Act, 1874," it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, from time
to time, by proclamation in the Provincial Govern-
ment Gazette, to fix a date after the said period of
thirty days as the date on and after which the lands
comprised in such Hundred shall be open for sale or
lease, and that in such case such lands should not be
open for sale or lease until the date mentioned in
such last-mentioned proclamation: And whereas
it is not expedient that the said land comprised in
the said Hundreds should be open for sale or lease
until the date hereinafter mentioned: Now, there-
fore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the
Province of Otago, by virtue of the powers invested
in me by "The Otago Waste Lands Administration
Act, 1874," and of every other power and authority
vested in me enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the lands comprised in the
Hundreds hereinafter named shall be open for sale
or lease on the date hereinafter mentioned, that is to
say: I proclaim and declare that all the lands com-
prised in the following Hundreds, namely, in the
Tapanui Hundred, Kyeburn Hundred, Otakarama
Hundred, Landslip Hill Hundred, South Glen-
kenich Hundred, North Glenkenich Hundred,
Chatton Hundred, and Kingston Hundred, shall
be open for sale or lease on the first day of
February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
six: And I further proclaim and declare that the
Hundreds hereinbefore named are described in the
proclamation of His Excellency the Marquis of
Normanby, Governor of New Zealand, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette, of date the eleventh
day of October, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-five.

this nineteenth day of November, one
