TENDERS are invited for removing slips and clearing watertables on Purakanui Bay and Long Beach Roads. THE Waipori Road Board intend at their meeting on Saturday, 4th December, 1875, to make a General Rate of Sixpence (6d) in the £, on the full net annual value of all rateable property within the District, for the year ending 30th June, 1876.

The Rate Book, containing the several valuations of property in the District, can be seen at the School House, Lake Waipori.

SUBURBAN ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS wanted for the Suburban Road Board for the following works:—

1st. Clay cutting and embankment at Thomson\'s corner.
Also, Cleaning water tables, and culverts to Canning\'s.

2nd. Cutting and embankment, commencing at the end of the metal, and ending at M\'Cauchan\'s corner.
Also, cleaning 80 chains, more or less, of water tables.

3rd. Formation of road from Mason\'s to Murtagh\'s.

4th. Formation of road from Mills\' to the top of hill at Dempster\'s.

5th. Formation of Road leading from the Church to the Cemetery gate.

Plans and specifications will be seen with Mr D. Andrew.

The Board will meet intending contractors at Thomson\'s corner, on Friday, the 26th November, at 2 o\'clock, to show the work. Tenders to be lodged with the Chairman not later than noon on Tuesday, 30th November.

Further Notice is Given, that a Special Meeting of the Board will be held on Thursday, 25th November, at 12 o\'clock noon, to hear and determine objections (if any) to valuation or assessment.

I HEREBY give Notice, that I intend to construct a water race and three dams for sheep-washing, irrigation, and general purposes, the water race, commencing at a point in the Manuherikia river, about one mile below the junction of Rocks Gorge Creek, and terminating on the pre-emptive section, Hawkdun Station, and the dams situate in the course of the race about half a mile from my sheep wash.

The length of such water race is eight miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-west, through Crown lands held by me under pastoral and agricultural leases.
