TAIERI ROAD BOARD.
TENDERS wanted for formation of Roads, and the supply of blue stone metal in the Owhiro Subdivision.

TENDERS wanted, by the Portobello District Road Board, for the following works, viz.:—
1st. Cutting precipice on Sandymount District Road. Works, plan, and specifications will be shown by Mr Walter Riddell, Portobello Road, on Thursday, the 11th of November, between the hours of 1 and 3 afternoon.
2nd. For Bridge and five chains, more or less, of formation, on Beach, at Hooper's Inlet. Work will be shown on application to Mr William Dickson, Sawmills, Hooper's Inlet.
Tenders to be in not later than Saturday, the 13th of November prox., at 12 o'clock.
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.
The tender approved by the Board will not be accepted unless the Contractor is prepared to give such security as the Board may require.

DISTRICT OF NASEBY, 11th Oct. 1875.
To the District Land Officer at Naseby.
I HEREBY give Notice, that I intend to construct a water race and three dams for sheep-washing, irrigation, and general purposes, the water race, commencing at a point in the Manuhierikia River, about one mile below the junction of Rocks Gorge Creek, and terminating on the pre-emptive section, Hawkdun Station, and the dams situate in the course of the race about half a mile from my sheep wash.
The length of such water race is eight miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-west, through Crown lands held by me under pastoral and agricultural leases.
The mean depth and breadth of such water race is 1 ft. by 2ft., and it is capable of carrying 4 heads of water, and the dams are calculated to contain about 800,000 gallons of water.

Under the provisions of Section 331 of the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."
BY virtue of the powers in me vested by the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," I hereby appoint Mr Thomas Johnston, of Great King Street, Dunedin, (Captain of the Dunedin Volunteer Fire Brigade) to be a Fire Inspector for the City of Dunedin, within the meaning of the said Act.
