WEDNESDAY, 1ST DECEMBER, 1875.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that the lease for ten years,
of Run 413, bounded towards the north by the
Monowai River, towards the south by the Monowai bush,
towards the east by the Waiau River, and towards the
west by the Monowai bush; and containing 7800
acres, will be offered for sale by public auction
at the Land Office, Invercargill, on Wednesday, 1st
day of December next, at noon, in terms of the "Otago
Waste Lands Act, 1872," at the upset price, or annual
rent of 1d. per acre. The bidder of the highest annual
rental in addition to the assessment payable under the
138th clause of the said act, shall be the purchaser. As-
sessment of three shillings and sixpence for every head of
great cattle, or seven pence for every head of small cattle
depastured on the Run, will be charged, but the minimum
stock on which assessment will be charged shall not be
less than 3000 sheep.

Lease to commence on the 26th day of July, 1876 and
expire on the 25th day of July 1886, or to determine
on 12 months' notice from the Commissioner of Crown
Lands to the Lessee to that effect, without liability on
the part of the Government or Waste Lands Board for
compensation for improvements. The right to take a
road 5 chains broad, for stock travelling, is retained by

Government. No previous lessee, on purchasing the lease,
to be entitled to exercise a pre-emptive right to purchase
land on Run. Improvements, enhancing the value of the
Run, made by lessee, to be paid by the incoming tenant,
before obtaining possession. A deposit, of one-tenth of
the purchase money, shall be payable on the fall of the
hammer, the balance within a month. The annual as-
sessment will be payable on the 1st day of October of
each year, excepting the first period from the 26th July
to the 1st October, 1876, when the rent will be payable
on the 26th day of July of that year.

day, the 16th November next is the day appointed for
deciding such application, if unopposed, and notifying
the objections (if any).
