NOTICE is hereby given, that an application has been received by his Honor the Deputy-Superintendent, in terms of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1875," to erect the townships of Kensington, South Dunedin, South Dunedin Extension, Forbury, Forbury Extension, St. Kilda, Musselburgh, and Kew, and the districts thereto immediately adjoining, comprising that portion of the flat lying to the south of Dunedin, bounded by the Anderson's Bay road on the east, by the Ocean Beach sand-hills to the south, by the Forbury road on the west, and the Main road to Caversham on the north, into a Municipality; and it is His Honor's intention, as required by the Ordinance referred to, subject, however, to such modifications of the boundaries as may be found necessary, to comply with the request, provided no valid objections are lodged at his Honor's office within six weeks from this date.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received by His Honor the Superintendent, in terms of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865, Amendment Ordinance 1866," to erect the townships of Kingston and Green Island into a municipality and that objections in compliance with the application must be lodged at his office within six weeks from this date.

LAWRENCE CEMETERY.

Notice of appointment of the Town Council of Lawrence to manage the Lawrence Cemetery.

By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I, GEORGE TURNBULL, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, under and by virtue of the "Cemetery Reserves Management Ordinance, 1864," and the "Cemetery Reserves Management Ordinance, 1864, Amendment Ordinance, 1875," by the advice of the Executive Council, publish and declare that the present managers of the Lawrence Cemetery are removed from the said management, and the Town Council of Lawrence is hereby appointed to manage the said Cemetery.

NOTIFICATION

Of the Establishment of a Pound, known as Berwick Pound.

NOTICE is hereby given, that by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Impounding Ordinance, 1872, I have established a Pound, known as Berwick Pound, situate in the Township of Berwick, Waipori District, and that I have appointed

of Waipori, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, settler, to be keeper of the said Pound.

TENDER FOR DISTRICT GAOLS.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Lands and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Monday, 13th September, 1875, for the erection of Gaols (in concrete) at Naseby, Clyde, and Arrowtown.

Tenders and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Inspector of Buildings, Dunedin, and Police Camps, Naseby, Clyde, and Arrowtown, on and after the 28th inst.

Tenders to be indorsed, "Tender for Gaol at Clyde," "Naseby," or "Arrowtown," as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS FOR WORKS.

TENDERS for the construction of the undermentioned Railway, and other works, will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 7th September :—

1st Contract, No. 1044, Earthworks, Bridges, Culverts, and Permanent Way of Railway from Palmerston to Waynes.

2nd Contract, No. 1045, Mosgiel to Outram Railway, Earthworks and Fencing.

3rd Contract, No. 1046, do., do., Permanent Way.

4th Contract, No. 1047, do., do., Bridges and Culverts.

5th Contract, No. 1048, do., do., Taieri Bridge.

Plans and specification may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Provincial Engineer's Office, Dunedin.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TIME EXTENDED.

THE time for receiving tenders for the Bridge over the Matau Branch of the Clutha River has been extended to 14th September.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Police Camp, Balclutha, and at the Provincial Engineer's Office, Dunedin.

TUESDAY, 28TH SEPTEMBER, 1875.

Run 413 divided into Runs 413 and 463, that is—Runs 413 and 463 Sunnyside Run, Waiau.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the leases for ten years, of Runs 413, bounded towards the north by the Monowai River, towards the south by the Monowai bush, towards the east by the Waiau River, and towards the west by the Monowai bush; and Run 463, bounded towards the north-west by the Monowai bush, towards the south by the Monowai River, and towards the east by the Waiau River, containing respectively 7800 acres and 6200 acres respectively, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, on Tuesday, the 28th day of September next, at noon, in terms of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," at the upset price, or annual rent of per acre. The bidder of the highest annual rental in addition to the assessment payable under the 138th clause of the said act, shall be the purchaser. Assessment of three shillings and sixpence for every head of great cattle, or seven pence for every head of small cattle depastured on the Runs, will be charged, but the minimum stock on which assessment will be charged shall not be less than 3000 sheep on Run 413, and 2,200 sheep on Run 463, respectively.
