Now therefore I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council as aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by "The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," and of every any power in this behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart all that area containing 740 acres, more or less, in the New River Hundred, within which the land shall be open for license or lease as aforesaid: and I do further by virtue of the aforesaid powers proclaim and declare that all that parcel of land in the New River Hundred, containing 740 acres, more or less, bounded on the north-west by part of block VI. New River Hundred, and on the west by Bush Reserve: on the south by sections 37 and 35, and on the east by Bush Reserve, sections 33a, 17, 30, 31, and a public road, as delineated on the map of the said Hundred, will be open on a date to be hereafter specified, for application for license and lease, on deferred payment, as provided in the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872."

Given under my hand, and issued under the seal of the Province of Otago, this seventeenth day of August, 1875.

Of appointment of Trustees of the Sinking Fund of the Municipality of Naseby.

NOTICE is hereby given that under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by section 105 of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ord., 1865," and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, have appointed

Mr Henry Wingram Robinson,
Mr John Suttie M'Intosh,
Mr William Grummitt,

To be Trustees of the Sinking Fund of the Municipality of Naseby, and to carry out the purposes of the said section of the said Ordinance.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 31st August, for

Contract No. 1042.—Formation of 104 lineal chains of road through Block S, Wyndham District, near Richardson's, including the construction of two bridges over the Titiroa Creek, on road "Mataura Bridge to Toetoes."

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Mataura Bridge.

Tenders to be indorsed, "Tender for Contract No. 1043."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS FOR WORKS.

TENDERS for the construction of the undermentioned Railway, and other works, will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, the 7th September :—

1st Contract, No. 1044, Earthworks, Bridges, Culverts, and Permanent Way of Railway from Palmerston to Waynes.

2nd Contract, No. 1045, Mosgiel to Outram Railway, Earthworks and Fencing.

3rd Contract, No. 1046, do. do., Permanent Way.

4th " 1047, do. do., Bridges and Culverts.

5th " 1048, do. do., Taieri Bridge.

6th " 1049, Bridge over Clutha River at Inch Clutha.

Plans and specification may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, on and after the 21st instant, at the Provincial Engineer's Office, Dunedin.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
