PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PROCLAMATION.
Of His Excellency the Governor having assented to an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago.
By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS in the Thirty-fourth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, the Bill hereinafter mentioned was passed by the said Council—(that is to say :—
A Bill shortly intituled the "Otago Harbour Board Ordinance, 1874, Amendment Ordinance, 1875."
And whereas the said Bill was presented to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago for the assent of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand thereto, and the said Superintendent did upon the said Bill being so presented to him as aforesaid, declare that he reserved the same for the signification of the Governor's pleasure thereon : And whereas the said Bill has since been laid before His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and he has been pleased to assent to the same :
Now therefore I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Bill before-mentioned, that is to say—the "Otago Harbour Board Ordinance, 1874, Amendment Ordinance, 1875," has been laid before His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and that His Excellency has assented to the same.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, in the said Province, this twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

THE following Proclamation by His Honor the Superintendent of Otago is published for general information :—

PROCLAMATION.
Delegation of Powers by His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS, by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The Harbour Boards Act, 1870," it is among other things enacted, that the Superintendent and Provincial Council of any Province may from time to time make laws for providing for the constitution of a Harbour Board for any port or ports within such Province; for giving a name to any such Board; for providing for the number of members of which any such Board shall consist; for providing for the election or appointment of members, or for the election of a certain number and appointment of a certain number of such members; and for other purposes, in the third section of the said Act mentioned : And whereas, by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, passed in the 33rd session of the said Council, No. 423, intituled "The Oamaru Harbour Ordinance, 1874," a Harbour Board was constituted for the Port of Oamaru, in the Province of Otago, and was named the Oamaru Harbour Board: And whereas, by the said Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand
