plicants, situated at east side of Shotover River, Staple-
ton's Terrace.
NOTICE
Of certain land in the Province of Otago having been
reserved as a site for a reserve for the Port Chalmers
Water Works.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago
have, under and by virtue of section 160 of the
"Otago Waste Lands Act 1872," recommended that the
lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a
site for a reservoir for the Port Chalmers Water Works,
and it is expedient that the said lands should be so
reserved for that purpose.
Now, therefore, I James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in me in this behalf,
do hereby publish and declare that I have made and
dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve as a
site for a reservoir for the Port Chalmers Water Works
(that is to say):-
All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago
containing by admeasurement 179a. 16p.,
situated at the North Harbour and Blueskin
District, being sections numbered 1, 2, and
97, block VI., on the map of the said district.

NOTICE
Of change of designation of the Western District Far-
mers' Club Reserve at Riverton.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by a notice dated the 8th day of Novem-
ber, 1872, certain lands were reserved for the
Western District Farmers' Club, Agricultural and
Pastoral Association, at Riverton, and whereas the Pro-
vincial Council of Otago have recommended that the
designation of said reserve be changed to a reserve for
purposes of exhibition of cattle, and agricultural and other
produce.
Now therefore, I James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do
hereby publish and declare that the designation of the
said reserve is hereby altered to a reserve for purposes
of exhibition of cattle, and agricultural and other produce

Of appointment of Trustees of the Sinking Fund of the
Municipality of Naseby.
NOTICE is hereby Given that under and by virtue
of the power and authority vested in me by section
105 of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Act 1865," and
of every other power enabling me in this behalf, I James
Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago,
have appointed
MR. HENRY WIGMAN ROBINSON,
MR. JOHN SNITTIE MCINTOSH,
MR. WILLIAM GRUMITT,
To be trustees of the Sinking Fund of the Municipality of
Naseby, and to carry out the purposes of the said section
of the said Ordinance.

NOTICE is hereby Given that an application has
been received by His Honor the Superintendent, in
terms of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance
1865," Amendment Ordinance 1866," to erect the town-
ships of Kingston and Green Island into a municipality,
and that objections to a compliance with the application
must be lodged at his office within six weeks from this
date.

LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
PERSONS desirous of selecting Land, either for im-
mediate purchase or for occupation on deferred
payments, or under the Agricultural Lease Regulations,
will, on application to Mr. Robert Short, at the Land
Office, Dunedin, be supplied with all the information
they may require as to what land is open for sale or
occupation, and the terms upon which it may be acquired.
Mr. Robert Short will show maps of the land, and
assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary
applications.
