SCHEDULE.
Henry Dunker, on behalf of the Prince of Wales
Quartz Mining Company, for 15 acres of land, more or
less, as the same may be found after survey to be within
the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated near
Southberg's Otago Quartz claim, Skippers.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that an application has
been received by His Honor the Superintendent,
in terms of the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance
1865 Amendment Ordinance, 1866, to erect the Township
of Winton into a Municipality, and that it is His Honor's
intention to comply with the request, provided no valid
objections are lodged at his office within two months from
this date.

Joshua Greaves have applied for and received per-
mission to surrender the undermentioned portion of
land held by them under a Mining Lease, No. 303:—
All that area in the Province of Otago, being the south-
eastern portion of section 9, block XVIII, Shotover Dis-
trict, containing by admeasurement three (3) acres, more
or less, bounded towards the north-east by Crown lands
eight hundred and fifty (850) links; towards the south-
east by Crown lands three hundred and sixty-five and a
half (365\frac{1}{2}) links; towards the south-west by Crown
lands eight hundred and fifty (850) links; towards the
north-west by other part of section 9, three hundred and
fifty (350) links:
And the land is now open for occupation from holders
of Miners' Rights, &c.

Michael Moran have applied for and obtained per-
mission to surrender the undermentioned portion of land
held by them under a Mining Lease, 304c:—
All that area in the Province of Otago, being the north-
eastern portion of section 10, block XVIII, Shotover
District, containing by admeasurement three (3) acres,
more or less, bounded towards the north-east by Crown
lands nine hundred and thirty-one (931) links, four hun-
dred and twenty-two (422) links, and one hundred and
ninety-four (194) links; towards the south-east by
Crown lands three hundred and twenty (320) links; to-
wards the south-west by other portion of section 10 eight
hundred (800) links, and five hundred and fifty (550)
links:
And the land is now open for occupation by holders of
Miners' Rights, &c.

Constable JAMES EDWARD M'KILVEY
to be Inspector of Slaughter Houses and of Cattle in-
tended for slaughter, for the District of Anderson's Bay,
vice Constable Archibald Laughlin, transferred.

tary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 19th July,
for Contract No. 1036:—
Erection of Stone Culvert over Creek at Police
Camp, Queenstown, and approaches thereto.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of
tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer,
Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Queenstown.
Tenders to be indorsed \"Tender for Contract No.
1036.\"
The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.
SEPARATE TENDERS will be received at the Office
of the Secretary for Lands and Railways, Dunedin,
until noon of Friday, the 16th July, 1875—

For delivery into the Railway waggons at Port Chal-
mers of 600 tons of the best Newcastle screened
Coals. -
For delivery into the Railway waggons at the Bluff
of 600 tons of the best Newcastle screened Coals.
In each case the coal may be delivered in one or two
lots, the first lot within eight weeks from the date of the
acceptance of the Tender; the second lot eight weeks
after the first.
The Government is not bound to accept the lowest
any tender.
NOTICE.
LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
PERSONS desirous of selecting Land, either for im-
mediate purchase or for occupation on deferred
payments, or under the Agricultural Lease Regulations,
will, on application to Mr. Robert Short, at the Land
Office, Dunedin, be supplied with all the information
they may require as to what land is open for sale or
occupation, and the terms upon which it may be acquired.
Mr. Robert Short will shew maps of the land, and
assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary
applications.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS FOR UNSURVEYED
LAND,
Under \"Otago Waste Land Act, 1872."
IT is hereby Notified, to the Applicants whose names
appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been
declared to be the purchasers of the Sections set opposite
their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money
of these Sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land
Revenue in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the
28th day of July, 1875, otherwise the applications will be
deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit
made at the time of lodging the application will be for-
feited.
