SCHEDULE.

William John Dyer, on behalf of the Bruce Quartz Mining Company, limited, for 15 acres of land, more or less, being section 24, block V, Table Hill.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes from Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Cromwell, on or before the 30th day of July, 1875.

Copy of the application made, and p'ans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office at Cromwell.

SCHEDULE.

Thomas Escott, on behalf of the Great Eastern Quartz Company, for 16 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situate at Bendigo, on the eastern side of and adjoining the Band of Hope Company's lease.

NOTICE.

Of certain lands at Invercargill, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a site for a Public Market.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of section 62 of the "Southland Waste Lands Act, 1865," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for a Public Market; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as a Reserve for a Public Market: (that is to say)β€”

All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement two (2) roods, more or less, situate in the town of Invercargill, being section XI., block LXXVI., bounded towards the north by a road line two hundred and eight links; towards the east by Clyde-street, two hundred and forty links; towards the

south by Forth-street, two hundred and eight links; and towards the west, by Crown lands, two hundred and forty links.

Dated at Dunedin, this 10th day of November, 1874.

Erection of Stone Culvert over Creek at Police Camp, Queenstown, and approaches thereto.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Queenstown.

Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1036."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1035."

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

SEPARATE TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands and Railways, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, the 16th July, 1875--

  1. For delivery into the Railway waggons at Port Chalmers of 600 tons of the best Newcastle screened Coals.

  2. For delivery into the Railway waggons at the Bluff of 600 tons of the best Newcastle screened Coals.

In each case the coal may be delivered in one or two lots, the first lot within eight weeks from the date of the acceptance of the Tender; the second lot eight weeks after the first.

The Government is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
