PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by section 10 of the "Protection of Animals Act, 1873," it is provided that no game shall be hunted, shot, taken, or killed in any Province until the same shall have been proclaimed as open for that purpose, by proclamation in that behalf, to be made and published in the Gazette; and no game shall be hunted, shot, taken or killed except within a consecutive period not exceeding three months of any year, to be fixed by the Superintendent by proclamation as aforesaid, between the first day of May and the thirty-first day of July, both inclusive, in any year, and only between the hours of sunrise and sunset.

Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint the period from the date hereof to the 31st day of July, 1875, and only between the hours of sunrise and sunset, an open season for taking or killing hares within that area of land bounded on the south by Stoney Creek and the Lagoon; on the East by the sea; on the north by Shag River, thence by a district road to Stoney Creek; on the west by a district road; and comprising sections 51, 52, 53, 54, 50, 49, 48, 47, 46, 45, 44, 56, 43, 42, 41, 40, 39, 38, 27, 26, 28, 29, 30, and 31, block III., Survey District of Moeraki.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this 29th day of June, 1875.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent
of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by section 10 of the "Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874,"
it is provided that if, from any cause whatever, the per-
sons entitled to vote at any election for any district or
for any sub-division of any district, shall fail or neglect
to hold an election of members of the District Board of
such district on the day appointed for that purpose by
the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it shall be lawful
for the Superintendent, by proclamation in the Govern-
ment Gazette, to appoint a day for the holding of such
election.

Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, by virtue of the power and
authority vested in me by the said section, and of every
other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and appoint Monday, the 15th July next,
to be the day for holding the election of members of the
North Taieri Road Boad, for the Wingatui Sub-divi-
sion of the said Road District.

Given under my hand and issued under the public
seal of the Province of Otago, this 29th day
of June, 1875.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields
Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that
Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867,
1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining
purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby noti-
fied that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining
purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in
